Off-Season Play at Trull Brook

During the fall, winter, and spring, the Andover Tennis Club facilitates mixed doubles at the Trull Brook Country Club. You do not need to be a member of ATC to participate.

How to Sign Up

We use WhatsApp to coordinate ATC Saturday mixed doubles at Trull Brook. If you want to participate, you must have WhatsApp installed on your phone, join the "Andover Tennis Club" community on WhatsApp, and join the "ATC Trull Brook" chat within the community. See the FAQ page for how to set up your phone.

On Monday of each week during the off-season, a poll is posted to the "ATC Trull Brook" chat group asking whether you want to play that coming Saturday.

  • If you want to play, respond by tapping "Yes" in the poll.

  • If you don't want to play, respond by tapping "No" in the poll, or simply do not respond.

  • You can change your response by tapping the other answer.

The poll closes on Thursday at 5:00 PM, with responses at that time deemed final. The first twelve people who replied "Yes" to the poll are assigned a court and the lineup is posted to the chat group on Thursday evening.

The fee is due at the beginning of the session and paid directly to Trull Brook. Players on each court decide on partners and rules (first ball in, two deuces, etc.). If players on different courts agree, they can switch players between courts to create better matchups or to play with a wider variety of people.

Cancellations

By responding "Yes" to the poll, you are committing to play on Saturday if you are put in the lineup. If you are put in the lineup, but cannot play, you are responsible for finding a sub. You can use the chat group to ask for a sub.

If you cannot play and cannot find a sub, you are still responsible for paying Trull Brook for your portion of the session. While you owe Trull Brook for a missed session, you are not eligible to play and will not be put into the lineup.

Finding the Trull Brook Tennis Courts

The Trull Brook tennis courts are located up the hill behind the main club house. There is a parking lot next to the tennis building, and the door to the building is located at the far left corner. You may see signs for golf simulators. These are in the same building as the tennis courts and share the same lobby.
